| Some things that are said in Japanese have no literal meaning even in Japanese. These things are said just because it is tradition. Some examples would be - Itekimasu(said when leaving home)
- Itarashai(said after someone says itekimasu)
- Tadaimaa(said when returning to home)
- Okairi-nasai(said after someone says tadaimaa)
- Itadakimasu(said before eating)
That's pretty much the basics. _________________ |

| I've watched enough anime to pick these up. I tried a japanese lesson podcast, but this is about all they taught you before they wanted you to shell out cash. >< |

| I've actually listened to some of their podcasts, but I have to say, I have a difficult time learning language in that method. Maybe I'll try harder. Also a question. Does anyone know how to make a noun plural in japanese? |
