@ Chaos- Many people take one or the other, some take both. Now almost every college accepts either with the proper supplements, so take whichever test suites you best. I know in the Midwest and in Chicago the ACTs is more common.

What about near the Northeast, they use SAT more? Where the Ivy leagues are lol.

I'm in WV and most people just took the ACT. I mean you can take the SAT and every college around will accept you if your score's good enough for it. BTW I'm in my first year of college.

and what would you think the acceptable scores are for reputable schools but not the top end. more likely mid-high or mid end.

I just got to a nice community college, couldn't bare the thought of going to college to be a physical therapist, that's a Doctorate now so I chose a physical therapist assistant. Anyways, I think like a 18 can get you into WVU, is that a middle of the line school even though it's not really known for academics?
