How often do you guys use Wikipedia if ever? out of curiosity

For me it's one of my most used bookmarks, I would say I probably search 30 things a day at the bare minimum, usually more. I also love the "On this day" page. Great to know the random holidays and stuff that went down on the day your in.

Today is International Translation Day! fitting for a forum that discusses translated media. So Happy International Translation Day!

Haha nice. I use it occasionally for homework that they don't need a source list for.

haha plagiarizer. However, who isn't one? All ideas in this world had been taken from others one way or another. English teachers has to face that fact.

I use it sometimes, when I have totally nothing else to do or have to do some background research about a topic, or if I'm curious about something. I don't have it bookmarked or go to it all the time though.

well that's obvious. But if you're researching a topic and you find a made up 'fact', chances are you won't know that. You'll use that for your research paper or w/e and dun dun dun lol.

Oh well...at least they tightened security so guests and new members can't edit things

I only use it if I have to research something. Foe ex: When I have write 2 pages about Lions [ We don't need to list the source] and I can't think of anything I just go to Wikipedia and copy everything, open up MW, past and I am done!

I use it for papers and stuff. Also use it to find out things about manga and anime. Like how many chapters so and so has or does this manga have a anime with it. Just simple things.

overall it's a nice compilation of world contribution. I still don't think it should be mostly used for papers, just don't make it obvious lol. but im not surprised that all of us uses it for papers.

It's basically what other people compiled from other sites and put together on one site. I think it's human nature to do as little as possible and get by. That's why we all use it for papers .

anyone knows that Google is/will try to compete with Wiki by making their own online encyclopedia? I read that somewhere.
