Next Gen DS?!

News came out yesterday that there were reports about a new DS redesign featuring:
Camera
Music capabilities
Better Wifi
Larger Screens

It's still rumor, but a Nikkei website also had this report, which ups this 'rumor's credibility by a lot. If it's real, I think I'll pass. I'm happy with my DS Lite, and I already have a iPod for other media. Idk if it's really gonna make a difference, those camera and etc. A larger screen would be amazing though, but it's ultimately all about the games, right? So whats your thoughts?

who knows? lol I'm guessing its for competing with cell phones, even specific, iPhone/Touch. Some games will use it too.

If only it had 2 touch screens, that would pwn!

Yea, I think I'm happy with my DS the way it is. Don't play it that much anyways.

You got the original or Lite? idk bout others, but just camera and music won't persuade me to buy it.

I'm thinking that releasing a new hardware altogether will alienate the casuals who bought a ds/lite and will ruin sales.

I'm kind of sick of every new electronic trying to incorporate everything it can. I would rather have separate machines that focus on one aspect and do it fantastically.

exactly, that's why I have a DS Lite and iPod. Each one having their own specialty that they do amazing at.

I actually don't mind pertaining to consoles like xbox/ps but handhelds I kinda do. Much like the psp where it was all multimedia, but the games were mediocre.

eh, I can just import it. It's region free so it's all good Very Happy

btw I probably wont buy this, I already have a Lite

so you're not interested in getting this newer version?
I really don't see the point if you already have a DS Lite/original unless you're a camera fanatic lol. They're gonna have the same game carts, but only a few that will be DSi exclusive
