I think that it's good that they're going with what they want to do though. It's not good to do something just because it's what will be what people will read. I think that it's good that they are going for their dreams

I didn't even realize that they wanted to create a really mainstream manga. I thought their goal was just to be the best mangakas in Japan.

I think that they started out wanting to do mainstream

I like them both equally...

Even though they want to do mainstream it doesn't look like either of them are especially good at creating mainstream drawings or stories.

One thing about this series is that I had always thought about mangaka as a job that people kind of end up in if it's meant for them. I had never thought about the fact that there are probably tons of struggling/failing mangakas. - Meh, just a thought.

Yea it's like people that do art or authors...it's a long and sometimes non-rewarding process

New chapter comes out either later tonight or tomorrow. I'm really anxious to see their first real attempts at a mainstream manga.

I just read the last 2 chapters.

Things are heating up as both of the competitors know what the other looks like and everything.

Yeah I love that interaction with the authors, because Eiji was obviously oblivious to the tension of the situation.

I just read the past two chapters also and wow. So much happened. I was surprised to see Nizuimi or w/e was a fan of money and intelligence. Can't wait for more chapters.

I wonder if the author had to go through legal stuff with Jump to include it to such an extent in his manga.

Oh man that was an awesome chapter. Just like every time it feels like so much happened.

In truth, the angel story didnt sound very interesting at all. Not that you couldn't make a cool angel manga, but that story was boring. I'm still hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to see what their hit will be.

Every chapter amazes me with how much story they fit in. I loved when Nizuimi was talking about hero eyes.

That was pretty good. Each little story doesn't seem to last too long, and each time they end up getting turned down or end with some new advice or hopes...but they aren't really taking much time to get places

I think that things are heating up! I mean it's all just a big misunderstanding right now. I think Hattori should have been more detailed in what Shujin said because it made him seem like a bad guy with no faith.

I can't wait to see what happens here!!!

You have to love the page with To love-ru or w/e and their heads are up and noses out saying a real manga for real men. Haha, I loved that part. Really like how they use other manga in this one, it helps you connect better.
