Sounds like your noobish so I'll explain. Anime is the television show that airs Thursdays in Japan and dubbed on Saturdays(I think Saturdays). Manga on the other hand is the actual story written by Kishimoto. It has images and can kind of be compared to comics but they're more complex and are read from right to left.
For something that can probably help you in the future, fillers are episodes in an anime that doesn't follow the manga and are usually not as well liked by viewers. This can be well seen by the difference in popularity between Dragon Ball/DBZ and DBGT. DBGT wasn't well received compared to the other two because the story was lacking because the writer for the manga stopped at DBZ.
